The Community Map
What it is
The map shows the contractors who work in your area. Set the radius yourself: tighten it to your neighbourhood or widen it across the city. Tap a pin to see someone’s work, then reach out. Contractors appear because they serve the area — never because they paid for placement.
Why it matters
It turns searching into looking around. The plumber four streets over, the electrician by the school — they were always there; now you can see them. For contractors, your service area is your storefront, visible to every neighbour who opens the map.
How to use it
For clients
- 1Open the app at /main to land on the Community Map.
- 2Drag or zoom to your neighbourhood; use the radius control to widen or tighten how far you look.
- 3Tap any pin to open that contractor’s profile.
- 4Review their work and reviews, then reach out directly.
For contractors
- 1Complete your profile and set your service location and radius (Settings → Profile).
- 2Your pin appears on the map for neighbours searching your area.
- 3Keep your profile current — your work and details are what a neighbour sees when they tap your pin.
Common questions
- Who shows up on the map?
- Contractors whose service area covers the spot you’re looking at. Placement is based on where someone actually works — there is no pay-for-placement.
- Can I change how far the map looks?
- Yes. The radius is yours to set — tighten it to a block or widen it across the city.
