Messages, Job Cards & Waves
What it is
Messaging between clients and contractors, with the job’s status built into the thread — when a job is requested, accepted, or completed, a card appears in the conversation so both sides see the same state. And if you just want to put yourself on someone’s radar without composing a message, send a wave.
Why it matters
The conversation and the work stay in one place — the thread is the record, so there’s no cross-referencing texts against invoices. Waves give clients a zero-pressure way to open a door and contractors a light signal of interest.
How to use it
For clients
- 1Open a contractor’s profile and start a message — or send a wave if it’s too early for a message.
- 2As a job moves along, status cards appear right in the thread.
For contractors
- 1Reply to messages from your inbox.
- 2Watch for waves — a light signal that someone’s interested.
Common questions
- What’s a wave?
- A no-pressure nod — a way to put yourself on someone’s radar without writing a message.
